CHINESE ACUPUNCTURE Faq's

What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture involves the use of very fine needles inserted into the skin at various anatomical locations (acupoints/vital or trigger points) around the body. This usually painless procedure achieves homeostasis and restores normal physiological function to the body. Acupuncture helps the body to work better by balances/harmonized the patient’s energy.
Traditional acupuncture theory states that qi and blood flow throughout the body to bring nutrient and oxygen to all of the body’s internal organs, bones, muscles, and related tissues. When a blockage occurs in this vital flow, disease results. The cause of this blockage may include poor diet, lack of exercise or rest, improper posture, inactivity, stress, or physical trauma and over work.
We using Acupuncture to restore the flow of qi by unblocking the meridians/Channels or vessels (energy pathway) associated with the area of disease or syndromes.
If you are thinking about trying acupuncture, you are in good hands. Acupuncture has been used as a mainstream therapy for thousands of years in China; it also has been attracting many Westerners in the past half century too. Millions of people in the United States alone have tried acupuncture to relieve painful conditions. Many others have tried it as a way to avoid surgery or drugs, and to avoid some of their side effects.

Acupuncture does not work to eradicate disease directly, but working on improving the patient’s own immunity to achieve healing from within.

Some acute cases require only one or two treatments, while chronic case patientswith a weak constitution may require one treatment a week for a period of a few months. The use of herbal medicine, appropriate exercise, relaxation techniques, and dietary modification can often greatly enhance the speed of recovery. • Occasionally a person may get a small bruise at an acupuncture site, although this is fairly rare. Some people feel a little light headed after treatment, especially if they are hungry, thirsty or tire before the Acupuncture treatment. Some of the vital points stimulated may be a little sore for 24 to 48 hours following acupuncture. The majority of people just feel calm and relaxed.
  • Acupuncture works through generating signals from the peripheral nervous system into the central nervous system in order to elicit a targeted and restorative reaction from the central nervous system. This central nervous system function can reduce pain and inflammation, normalize body processes, deeply calm the body, and promote healing. This peripheral nervous system signal is generated through inserting a hair thin sterile acupuncture needle into a specific acupuncture point. (Western Science Point of view.)
  • Acupuncture is one of the most conservative and safe therapies in existence. We sterilized the acupoints before the insertion of the needles, and only use sterile disposable needles. Because acupuncture uses the body's own healing power to restore health, it is safer than some harmful side effect of Drugs.
